The Department of Home Science was established in the year 2003. It began with a modest strength of 30 students. Since its inception, the department has grown both in numbers and activities.
In addition to the regular curriculum, students actively participate in various extracurricular activities. The department organizes exhibitions and conducts a Fruit Preservation Diploma Course every year, in collaboration with the Fruit Preservation Centre (Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India), benefiting the students both academically and practically.
