The Department of English was established with the inception of Arya Mahila P.G. College in 1956. Keeping in view the academic and vocational challenges in the global scenario, the department endeavors to nurture analytical literary sensibility and efficient language skills in students which are pertinent to their progress.
The department prides itself on being one of the several departments of the institution that uses the latest technological methodologies of teaching like the Language Lab, etc. We strive to create an ambience essential to promote the holistic development of the students.
The department lays emphasis on both curricular and co-curricular development of the students by conducting debates, quizzes, and similar activities to help them excel in their academic and professional pursuits. The Department offers B.A. and M.A. Programmes.
